The Government of Norway launched their first State Budget on October 8th. Overall, we are very pleased with the Government’s will for innovation and knowledge.

Friday Oct 10th neuroscience is one of the topics discussed at Skavlan, Scandinavia’s largest TV talk show, as Oxford Professor Susan Greenfield pays a visit. Greenfield has strong connections to NNN.

- This is a great day for Norwegian neuroscience, says Leif Rune Skymoen, CEO of Nansen Neuroscience Network.

NNN member company MentisCura, based in Reykjavik, Iceland, presented new and exciting data at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in Copenhagen in July.

Stroke is one of the leading causes of death in the western world. During a stroke, blood flow to parts of the brain is obstructed, followed by a rapid decrease of oxygen and energy supply to the brain tissue.

During the last days, NNN has been profiling Norwegian neuroscience at the NLSDays in Stockholm. We chaired the neuroscience session, were interviewed by PharmaTelevision, met a range of interesting partners, and had the most visited stand at the conference together with Oslo Cancer Cluster.

We are happy to announce that Innovation Norway have decided to continue supporting the development of NNN. Through an agreement signed in July, Innovation Norway has committed to maintaining NNN’s status as National Innovation Network throughout 2015.
